Lunar Landing Pics
The Big Picture has a few pictures taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which is in an orbit around the moon. Apparently, it comes as close as 50km to the surface, and it can take pictures of the earlier Apollo landing sites. The excerpt below shows the Apollo 12 lander (lower right), and foot tracks towards the probe Surveyor 3 (upper left). Honestly speaking, I did not know that Apollo 12 managed to land that close to another space vehicle. Quite impressive.
