Gardening in the White House, again
The White House issued a fancy new video about the progress in the White House garden (see also earlier postings 1 and 2). The video features some graphical effects in the beginning, and even a time-lapse view of the garden. The First Lady explains the importance of gardening and family dinner, and the White House chef Sam Kass has a lot of appearances. There are also a few references to the WWII-era Victory Gardens, including video and posters. But here is an important concern: not once in the video or the blog entry they mention organic. That was part of the message before, so the policy changed along with the Soil Amendments that they have to drop on the place, or the non-organic lobby did win.
