Conan O'Brian Transition
I caught up with the tivo'ed The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brian. So far, so good: nothing really outstanding in a good or bad way. Conan is a little tamer than on his original show, quite acceptable actually. The second show had a highlight: NBC staged an interview with Obama about the transition from Jay Leno to Conan, and he actually endorsed it, citing long discussions in the White House, and mentioned that there will be "no bailout from Washington if Conan screws it up". NBC serves the clip, see below. On a separate note, Jay Leno's last show was very good. Not too much of a sentimental journey, and the idea closing with the children of couples from the shows staff was great.
