Solana Beach Coffee Company

I made a Groupon deal the other day for the Solana Beach Coffee Company, and today we visited the place. The Yelp comments for it are somewhat mixed, for two reasons: expectation and price. Both topics are indeed controversy. The expectation for a "coffee company" is somehow that they roast their own coffee - but no, the Solana Beach Coffee Company is a rather small business, more like a bistro. And the price for the coffee is quite high, however offset by inexpensive food. The coffee is good (I like light roast), and the food is OK - I had the lox bagel.  The presentation is a little rough with cardboard plates, paper cups and plastic utensils. But the staff is super nice. So this place came out as a mixed bag, but certainly good for the quick stop while in the area.
